OK it's Halloween. Instead of a costume I'm wearing the cone of shame. It's SCARY!! Dug agrees.

Tummy trouble part 2

Well I guess I didn't learn my lesson. Mom says I am giving her a lot of grief. Mom is supposed to give a talk about service dogs in a place called New Mexico. I didn't mean to, but I ate a sock. Mom does not know where I found it. All the laundry has been put up for over a week since my last adventure in laundry eating. I shared it with Mac. He pooped it out. My piece got stuck. Back to surgery I go. My vet said he never had to do surgery twice in 8 days. This was not the trail blazer I meant to be. Miss Gail will bring me home from the hospital and care for me until Mom gets home Sunday night. I need prayers for a quick recovery.

Tummy trouble

I don't know who got the idea first, but it didn't turn out well for me. Mac & I have both been caught stealing underwear & socks and chewing them up. Mom has been doing her best to keep all the dedicates locked away from puppy lips. This time something happened. Early Monday morning I had a bad feeling in my tummy. I was queasy and just before I threw up I had a terrible pain that made me scream real loud. Then I would throw up and feel a little better. But it kept happening all night long. queasy, pain and then vomit.

Mac had an appointment with the vet in the morning to get something called "fixed" Mom said I had to come along to to have my belly looked at. After Mac went to surgery I got to see the vet. They took some pictures and what did they see??

Could it be Mom's bra I ate? I wouldn't do that. Not me. They gave me some fluids and hoped it would find the way out. No luck. I have to have surgery today too. They got the piece out with no problem.

I spent the night at the vet and come home today with this thing on my head. My belly hurts and I can't get this cone off. I am not having any fun!!!Mac is real sweet and giving me smooches through the crate door. He is a little sore too.

He tried to help with the cone. couldn't figure it out either. Here is my boo boo. see why I am so sad.

Labby Party

Miss Sue had to go out of town. Sirius & Luna were on vacation at Violet's house. We had a playdate.Five dogs was too much to handle. Miss Violet went to stay at Pumpkin's house. They were missed. We had 3 very tired labs and Miss Luna (bursting with energy) by the end of the night.

Playing with Bree

We had a play date at Bree's house. I had to show the kids how it is done. You have to run fast and bring the ball back to Mom. They just wanted to play & tumble. Silly puppies! Excuse me.We had a blast. Thanks Monica !

My sore ear

Thursday night I got a very bad feeling in my ear. It itched and hurt and I couldn't get comfortable. We are supposed to go on a trip to see Grandma in the morning. I got to go to the vet first.

Dr Kayla put a plastic thing in my ears and I did not like it! I have an ear infection. I have to have drops and pills to eat. Most important no swimming or getting in the shower with Mom. A girl can't have any fun. I was supposed to go swimming in Lake Michigan this weekend.

Instead I stayed in the house and wrestled with Owen. We had a good time. I napped in grandpa's chair and snuggled with grandma. She didn't appreciate when I sat on her chest. It's hard to breathe that way. So we had a nice weekend after all. It was cold & rainy outside, but warm & dry at grandma's.

Swimmer

I finally found my lab roots and started swimming. I'm not afraid anymore. We went to a friend's house that had a pond in Richmond. I started on the baby section. I was so good I went to the deep end. Before we knew it I was jumping off the dock. Look out Lake Michigan--here I come.
