How do you give them up?

That's the question we always hear. In the mail today we got an article that explains it perfectly. I get to stay home with Mom forever but my big brother Tank and many of my friends have moved on to change the life of someone else. That's the biggest gift anyone could give you. Independence.

Check out this article about A CCI puppy raiser.

I imagine it is very hard to give up a blessing like you Aussie, or any other dog. When Nicky first got Caper, Lori took him home for a day because he groweled and she wanted to make sure he wasnt agressive (Which obviously, he wasnt) and Nicole had such a hard time and that was only for like 2 days. You and all the other dogs are like angels and I hear it is so hard to let you go and spread your wings when it is time, but giving someone independence is the most wonderful gift of all.

Though I've never raised a guide/service dog, I couldn't imagine how hard it is to give up a dog. I have, though, raised feral kittens, and I know that giving them up is always hard...

I have only had to give one dog up, but when I think about it they are going to help someone in need, and if not then they would come back to you.
My last dog passed the test with flying colors and now is a guide dog.
I just ran across you blog, come check my dogs blog out at:
