Please join me in my journey to become a service dog for someone who is deaf, has a physical disability or seizures. I have to be exposed to many different places sounds & people to be a success. These are my adventures on the road to service dog.
My favorite friend Miss Jane is in the hospital. I had to go see her and make her feel better. I visited more people while I was there. They kept calling into their rooms for a pet. I didn't mind at all. Its my job you know. I sure was tired after our visit.
Mom & Tresa got to go on vacation. I got to go to Violet's house. I had a wonderful time. Miss Sue said I did get in a little trouble but she loves me anyway. I'm still a puppy and try to take advantage of an un puppy-proofed house. She wanted me to share the bed with her. I need my space! I need most of the bed to myself. I slept like a log when I got home. My sister is still a pest. Maybe Tresa should have stayed in Arizona. No. I did miss her just a little. Don't tell Mom.
The PAWS March updates are out: Andre is starting to really understand his tasks. His biggest challenge is distraction out in public and breaking his position. I have really been focusing on position and that it is his responsibility to maintain that position. not mine. Aries has lots of tasks to learn, but she is progressing well. Starting to simulate the client. Waiting to hear about Arwin & Austin at Leader dogs. I'm so proud of them all!
On 10/14/08 I went to school but I was too scared and could not focus. I don't like being in that kennel! I didn't pass my test and had to leave school. It's okay now I get to live with Mom forever. She's got more plans for me. My brother Austin wasn't right for the program either. He changed his major & school. Now he's training to be a Leader Dog for the Blind.
