Pre-rinse cycle

The best thing about being a big sister is to teach Tresa to do something and then watch her get in trouble. Mom didn't appreciate the help in the kitchen.

Fall at Crystal Mountain Resort

We went Up North to see Grandma & Grandpa. I ran through the leaves and sniffed out all the wild animals.I'm enjoying being a keeper dog. I sleep on the bed with Mom. I even get to snuggle on the couch once in a while. Tresa gets jealous.
I'm jealous of her new baby toys. Mom says I can't play with them. Sometimes I sneek a taste!

showing Tresa the ropes

I kind of like having a little sister. She is fun to play with and REALLY fun to tease.
We have a few sweet moments too.Good sniffing spots

And she knows who's the boss

My new sister

I got home Friday morning from school. Surprise Owen was at my house and a new baby sister Tresa. I was so excited we ran all over the house.
Mom says I've got to teach her how to have good manners. And I can't lay on top of her. She doesn't seem to mind a good wrestle.
The best part of being a keeper dog is that I get to sleep in bed with Mom. Yes! It's what I've been waiting for. I just can't hog the bed.

Off to school

I'm going back to school today. I hope I can make Mom proud. I'm more grown up now so school is not so scary. My brothers & sisters are there waiting for me.
Mom had to do one more dress up session before I go. My brother Snickers sure did have costumes. He didn't need them in Heaven so he left them for me. Thanks a lot!

I better get good treats after this!!!

Back at home

I got to ride on that plane again. It was just as much fun the 2nd time. Mommy tried to get me to break before we went in the airport, but I wasn't in the mood to pee in public. She told me "You'll have to hold it a long time!"
There were more nice people on the plane. A nice lady next to me let me rest my chin on her legs. I left some white hair on her black pants to remember me by. She said she was going to steal me and take me home with her. I tried to use my puppy dog eyes to get part of her sandwich. No luck!
We brought some official sourdough bread home from our trip. I wasn't allowed to taste it but it smelled wonderful!I met a nice man at the airport. He is the new grandpa for my friend Lira. She is a hearing dog and recently went home with her forever family. He said she is doing very well.

I'm glad to be back in my own home & yard. It's not the same pooping on cement in a big city, I like my grass at home.

Visiting family

All the classes are done. Now we can visit with family here in SF. This is our cousin Paula. She lives here and raises spotted dogs. Owen wanted to play but one of the girls was in something called heat and had to stay in the dog run. I could play. It must be a girls only thing. We had a good run around the yard. You can only go so fast in a hotel room.

More sights to see

Mom took me on a thing called a cable car. It's bumpier than the trolley and it goes up & down steep hills. Mom had to hold on so I wouldn't slide.

Meetings are boring

Mom has to get to work now. She has to go to meetings during the day. I lay under the chair & be quiet like I've been taught to do. It's not hard to do. I'm kind of tired after all that sight seeing.
I did meet 2 new friends. Emma works for a nice man in a wheelchair. He thought I was beautiful and am doing a good job learning manners. We both got to play between sessions. you've got to stretch your legs a little. Then I met Gator. He's a working boy too. His mom uses a power chair. I hope I grow up to have a job one day.I'm the hit of the conference and many people stop mom to ask about me and about PAWS. I'm doing a great job letting everyone know about working dogs.
I got to ride in a trolley at night. It's kind of like a bus but bumpy and the windows are open to let the warm air in. We went back to Pier 39 where those sea lions were. We did a little shopping and had a snack. I'm still a little nervous when I smell & hear those animals.

Being a tourist

Mom & I went on a bus trip Wednesday before our meetings started. We saw a big bridge.
We went to an old church. This is St. Francis
Then on to Golden Gate park. Lots of grass & geese to chase. Mom would not let me play with the birds.
And then a pretty tea garden. I had to pose so we didn't forget where we went. Grandma & Owen came in a plane today. Someone to play with!

A long plane ride

Mom's updating my blog from my trip. On Tues we got up early in the morning and I didn't get to have breakfast. That made me sad. We went to this place called airport. I had my bag with my food in it. That made me happy.
We went in this long tunnel and on to this funny looking thing called a plane. I was a wonderful girl and slept on my blanket most of the ride. I wasn't even scared when the plane rumbled & vibrated as we went into the air. I got ice cookies & a few treats along the way. Everyone paid a lot of attention to me and said I was very beautiful. I was just bored. big yawnWhen we got off this plane thing my friend Takara and Deb were waiting for me on the other side. We were happy to finally meet and play. I checked into my hotel room and then we went for a walk in the sunshine. We both had very good manners but then we heard & smelled something awful!
We both got very scared. Those things were called sea lions. I don't like them & don't want to meet them. I did want to meet all the pigeons walking around but Mom said no- leave it.
